Because we can't afford to buy video games all the time; good freeware games here I guess.

Cat Planet? Sounds like a weird movie.

Like a lone human at war with a planet of cats and ends with him setting off a nuke full of vat-nip.

There's M.U.G.E.N., but it's more of an engine than an actual game, but there are some full fledged fighters made from the engine.
